How to Brew an Enchanting Cup of Coffee

The steps go through basic preparation of ingredients and implements, but to ensure the best cup of coffee the devil is in the details.

  1. Start off with Cafe Cibales, to get the best from the Enchanted Isle, as Puerto Rico is also known.
  2. Make sure your equipment is clean. Coffee makers should be cleaned at least monthly. You can do this by running vinegar or water and baking soda through it. Do not use abrasives on the coffee maker or its components. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Use your favorite water. If you drink spring bottled water or prefer your local variety tap, choose the one you prefer.
  4. Place 2 tablespoons of coffee per cup.
  5. Do not burn the coffee grounds while brewing. Coffee's full aroma are best released when the water is at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, not any hotter or colder.

There are many subtleties to the flavor of a fine cup of coffee. A perfect cup of coffee may be described as smoky, chocolaty,or slighly nutty or buttery. You know you have brewed it right when you are left wanting more, smacking your lips, regretting that the cup has an inevitable end.
