It has been a short year since Café Cibales hit the market and its rapid growth in demand is good news to the 250 coffee farmers that sell their coffee to 'Puerto Rico's Commercial Farmers Cooperative', the island's first and oldest.

At the cooperative we are all aware that in order to ensure the best quality, we need to keep production ahead of demand. To achieve this before the Christmas season crunch and the launch of the online Coffee Shop, the Cooperative purchased and installed new machinery.

The equipment includes a new milling station and a sorting mechanism. With this new equipment, the cooperative's coffee processing plant now has better means for separating optimally ripened berries from those that are still green, while sorting coffee at a faster rate.

With these investments in our productiion facility, Café Cibales will be able to meet new market demands for coffee without affecting its trademark quality.
